Vanton FLEX-I-LINER® Sealless Self-Priming Peristaltic Pumps

FLEX-I-LINER®

Sealless Self-Priming Peristaltic Pumps

Vanton FLEX-I-LINER® peristaltic type rotary pumps transfer, sample or meter acids, caustics, solvents, salts, chlorides and reagent grade chemicals — even viscous fluids and slurries containing soft solids and abrasives.

Only two non-metallic parts contact fluid — the rugged thermoplastic body block and durable, replaceable elastomeric flexible liner. This easy-to-service construction keeps maintenance and downtime low.

The wide choice of thermoplastics and elastomers in which these pumps are furnished permits their use over the full pH range and for an endless list of corrosive, volatile, abrasive clear and viscous fluids, as well as for vacuum service and gas transfer. The gentle peristaltic pumping action minimizes foaming, prevents settling out of suspensions and permits safe handling of latex emulsions and other shear-sensitive liquids.

Sealless, non-metallic and self-priming, FLEX-I-LINER® pumps operate in either direction, wet or dry, in any position. Their unique design eliminates shaft seals, glands, internal seals, stuffing boxes and other potential sources of leakage.

Offered in Pedestal Mount and Close Coupled models, FLEX-I-LINER® pumps can be furnished with electric motors, with rotary vane air motors or with variable speed drives for metering purposes.

Every Vanton pump is fully tested to verify performance with all data permanently recorded.

Over 140,000 of these dependable sealless, self-priming pumps are in service handling aggressive and other problem fluids.

MATERIALS OF CONSTRUCTION

No metal is ever in contact with the fluids being pumped. The wetted end of the stainless steel shaft is sleeved in thick sectioned thermoplastic material. The homogeneous structure of Vanton thermoplastics minimizes the possibili1y of chemical absorption and eliminates the danger of bleeding or wicking commonly associated with fiberglass reinforced thermoset pumps. Heavy sectioned independent molded components avoid porosi1y and separation problems that tend to occur with lined pumps. With proper flushing, these thermoplastic pumps can be used for any other compatible service without fear of contamination.

APPLICATIONS

Vanton thermoplastic pumps are ideal for handling the broad range of corrosive, hazardous, toxic and other aggressive fluids used throughout the processing and manufacturing industries, in utilities, and in industrial and municipal water/wastewater treatment facilities. These fluids include: chemicals, biochemicals and pharmaceuticals, foods, mining slurries, pure water for semiconductor wafer  fabrication, electroplating formulas, pickling liquors, paper/pulp bleaches, industrial and municipal noxious odors, sea water in fisheries and aquariums, and an endless list of product recovery/reuse as well as OEM applications.
